Sending money to someone you dont know on the internet is a very brave thing to do and I respect that. I put on my listings that you are guaranteed a friendly, personal and fast service and I truly mean that. Some family background,my mum trained for 4 years in professional floristry at Capel Manor Horticultural College and I love the personal side of consulting with people about how they want their flowers to suit the occasion, whatever the budget, whatever the occasion. After that she trained as an adult teacher and found that side to be just as rewarding too - seeing someone progress from beginner to confident florist is brilliant.
Everyone that buys floristry items from me gets a link to my mum's free on-line floristry course with workshops, tips and tricks, photographed and diagrammed stages of various projects and a space to ask questions or leave comments. She keeps this up as a hobby and its a brilliant aid for florists of all levels, im happy to give it away as a thankyou for buying from me.
I started to sell the family surplus stock of floristry items to students who found it can be quite expensive trying to buy small quantities of floristry sundries and flowers without spending a small fortune. As I have access to floristry stock, and split up items if need be, I found I could help them out. Florists tend not to be very 'learner friendly' and charge quite a bit for sundries when they know the person wants to make their own items. Hopefully Im somewhere in the middle.
Just a note on postage and packaging. Although the English postal charge system requires puzzle solvers mind, I always weigh the item, judge for packaging depending on how fragile the item is, add a small amount for packaging and thats it basically. If you buy more than one item in one transaction, dont pay until I invoice you so I can recalculate postage, its a fiddly job if you pay first.
